most memorable line from a film


YOU'RE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE BLOODY DOORS OFF!!

 I've been saying this since before I even remembered which film it came from. This phrase is  very common in my house for no particular reason and is used when someone does something wrong, even if it's completely unrelated.


The Italian Job, despite it's age, is an amazing film, that a lot of younger people my age, won't have seen but definitely should... it's a classic, with, evidently, some great and very memorable lines.

Luigia Maria Campana This is my Nana's Nona, as we call her, or in other words, my great, great grandmother. My Nana parents were both killed during The Blitz in World War 2. My Nan was 2 at the time. So when my Nan was evacuated, because her Nona was elderly, she was able to go with her. Nona raised my Nan from the age of 2, and I would have loved the chance to meet her. To be able to hear her stories from her, instead of through my grandparents, and to have the chance to ask her about her Italian heritage and family, would have been an amazing experience. In my opinion, the chance to meet a long dead relative, my own flesh and blood, would be much more special, than meeting a famous person I don't truly know and that doesn't know me. I feel it would be much more valuable to get to know an amazing relative I never got the chance to meet and learn about the history of my family.

best film adaption of a book I've ever seen

Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory (1971) This film, despite being hindered by lack of technology and film resources in the 70's, created some amazing sets and bought a huge sense of magic and fun to the film. It wasn't just a simple adaptation of the book, but instead, an exciting and colourful version you could watch on your screens. For me, the fact that this film bought so much joy and vibrance to help bring the story alive, makes this film an easy winner in my eyes.
